Morning Tour: Gualaceo and Chordeleg
In the morning visit the villages of Gualaceo and Chordeleg. These small artisanal towns are located just outside of Cuenca and are really a treat to experience up close! Gualaceo is a small town that is warm and welcoming and is well known for their artisial weaving. Be sure to see how they create different woven works up close in the traditional way!
Your next stop will be to the small town of Chordeleg. This small town is well known for their silver jewelry. On your tour we will head to the center of the town where you will see tons of different jewelry stores all focused on their silver work. Be sure to buy a few pieces as they are pretty cheap here!
Afternoon Tour: Pumapungo Ruins and the Turi Viewpoint
In the afternoon explore the Pumapungo Ruins and travel to the Turi viewpoint. First you will head to Pumapungo, this site is located in Cuenca and is both a museum and a beautifully well-preserved archeological park. You will have free time to explore this area on your own and with your guide.
Your next stop on this tour will be to the Turi viewpoint. This famous viewpoint is located on the edge of the city and from here you will get the best views of Cuenca!
